I create brands by designing words and images and stories that attract people, people who become my client's customers. I use all types of media including web sites, brochures, ads, videos, packaging, and product design. I do this for clients who know that emotions play a primary role in marketing. In a world where attention is scarce, human emotion is the key to attracting attention and building relationships with the people who are your customers. My name is Chas. Porter. I'm a very experienced creative person who understands business.I have a wide range of professional experience. I have held senior creative and management positions in interactive, brand strategy, advertising, design, publishing, public relations, and response marketing. I've managed staff in corporate environments as varied as a 16-person creative ad boutique, a $500 million publishing company, and a virtual firm using independent contractors nationwide.
I've launched and managed two marketing firms and I purchased my first business, a small $16 million ad agency, at age thirty.
I've won multiple EFFIE awards for marketing effectiveness from The American Marketing Association, as well as creative awards from Communication Arts, The New York Art Directors Club and The Advertising Club of New York.
I write code in PHP and manage The Attractive with CSS and XHTML. My current technical fascination is with all things XML.
